A ARTE PASTORIL REPRESENTADA ATRAVÉS DA ILUSTRAÇÃO E DO DESIGN
NO CENTRO CULTURAL RAIANO, EM IDANHA-A-NOVA
Cerca de 20 peças de inspiração em fontes e registos etnográficos da região do Alentejo em conjugação com um conjunto de objectos do território do concelho de Idanha-a-Nova, estiveram em exposição, de 29 de Junho a 30 de Setembro de 2018, no Centro Cultural Raiano, em Idanha-a-Nova.
O cruzamento das áreas da ilustração, do design, da etnografia e da arte popular, no sentido de uma atenta revisitação aos patrimónios e identidades pastoris da Beira Interior e do Alentejo.
A exposição “Quem tem vagar faz colheres”, pretende abordar esta dimensão a partir de um olhar do presente e, sobretudo, a partir de um espaço de partilha, reflexão, proposição e ação como o Centro Cultural Raiano. Criando uma interface entre os objetos, a criação artística e os territórios pastoris.
A junção e/ou cruzamento com as coleções do CCR e afins, denota um conjunto de leituras amplas e motivadoras que se posicionam nos férteis questionamentos de um olhar para o presente destes saberes, tal como os novos usos das paisagens pastoris.

AT THE CENTRO CULTURAL RAIANO, IN IDANHA-A-NOVA
About 20 pieces of inspiration from sources and ethnographic records of the Alentejo region in conjunction with a set of objects from the territory of the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova, were on display from 29 June to 30 September 2018, in the Center Cultural Raiano, in Idanha-a-Nova.
The intersection of the areas of illustration, design, ethnography and popular art, in the sense of an attentive revisiting of the heritage and pastoral identities of Beira Interior and Alentejo.
The exhibition “Quem tem vagar, faz colheres*" aims to approach this dimension from the perspective of the present and, above all, from a space of sharing, reflection, proposition and action such as the Centro Cultural Raiano. Creating an interface between objects, artistic creation and pastoral territories.
The junction and/or intersection with the CCR collections and the like, denotes a set of broad and motivating readings that position themselves in the fertile questioning of a look at the present of this knowledge, such as the new uses of pastoral landscapes.
*Literal translation: “Who has time, makes spoons”. Portuguese popular saying that means wasting time doing nothing, reference to the shepherds that had significant time just keeping an eye on their flocks in the countryside and often made handicraft with their small knifes, particularly wooden or horn spoons.
